An experiment I recently watched on a show, the Tyra show to be exact is how this girl was brought up to a challenge. This girl was more fortunate than this little boy back in one of the third world countries. The girl would continuously complain to her mom about not getting what she wants. She would say that her life was hard to live while her family was in the middle-class.
Tyra decided to challenge her to live the condition as the little boy in the third world country. They confiscated her phone and iPod. First thing she had to do was to ‘get water’. Having clean water was very limited in the third world countries. People had to put in their strength and energy to fetch water. The first task that she had to do was walk a couple miles. She got really mad when she found out that she was only able to drink the dirty water that was provided. She quitted after she received ‘dirty’ rice after racking leaves.

ReplyDeleteI think more people need reality checks like this one. I went to Guatemala and Mexico and in comparison to other countries, they are better off. Still, people there have to burn their garbage because there is no proper system to dispose of it. I wish there was some way more people could experience the conditions of other countries to better appreciate the life they have.
